Women's sizes: Pinup and Ibiza

Pinup and Ibiza come up small: go one size up from your usual clothing size. If you wear a 44, pick the 46. Stick to your usual size only if you want a very snug fit.

Ibiza has a more closed back and gives more support and tummy control; the sizing rule is the same. Maui, New York, Bondi and Malibu are true to size: go one up if you prefer less compression.

Men's sizes: H2otto, Ucla and Alaska

H2otto: clothing size 46 is an L, 48 is an XL, and so on. Ucla and Alaska are true to your clothing size.

All of them have a drawstring waist. Not a fan of tight swimwear? Take one size up for comfort around the thighs too.

Training swimwear

Pinup, Ibiza, Maui, H2otto and Ucla are made in PBT, 100% polyester; Milano and the BONESWIMMER x Vira capsule (New York, Alaska, Bondi, Malibu) in 51% recycled polyester and 49% PBT. There is no elastane in the yarn: the suit keeps its shape, does not fade and stands up to chlorine, even with daily use. The exact composition of each piece is on its product page, under «Materials and care».

To work properly they have to fit like a second skin: it's normal to struggle getting them on. In the water everything settles and the suit becomes comfortable and stable.

Beach and leisure swimwear

Alte, Dega, Milano, the Santorini, Tahiti, Big Sur, Hawaii and Papeete bikinis, the Samoa swim shorts and the kids' beach swimwear contain some elastane: easier to put on and comfortable out of the water too, all day long. Choose your usual clothing size: the fabric adapts to your body over time.

These pieces are sensitive to chlorine: always rinse straight after the pool.

Care, for all swimwear

Rinse in plenty of cold water after every use (chlorine, salt, sun cream) and dry in the air, away from heat and direct sun. That way lining, seams and colours stay as they were on day one.

    J'adore la forme du maillot de bain. Il remonte au niveau de la poitrine ce qui permet un super maintient et une très bonne glisse. Les bretelles larges sont très confortable. Le côté échancré au niveau des hanches permet une liberté de mouvement dans l'eau. J'ai déjà une très belle collection sur cette gamme et je peux vous assurer que l'imprimé résiste très bien a l'eau chloré. Je suis maître nageur et en porte tous les jours pour nager ou apprendre aux enfants a nager.

Frequently asked questions

Pinup or Ibiza: which one-piece swimming costume should I choose?

Pinup has the X-cross back, the Boneswimmer signature since 2004: it leaves the shoulders free and keeps the costume in place in the pool. Ibiza is more closed at the back and gives more support and tummy control. Both are made of Speed Line, 100% PBT polyester.

Are the training one-pieces chlorine resistant?

Yes. Speed Line is PBT with no elastane: it resists chlorine, keeps its shape and does not fade. New York, from the BONESWIMMER x Vira capsule, is made of an Italian technical fabric, 51% recycled polyester and 49% PBT, also with no elastic fibre.

Which size should I take?

They fit very tight, like a second skin. Take your usual clothing size for a snug fit, or one size up for less compression: if you wear an Italian 44, choose Pinup or Ibiza 46. It is normal for them to feel hard to put on at first: in the water the volumes settle.

Where are they made?

In Italy, between Gallarate and Busto Arsizio: artwork designed in our atelier, sublimation printing at a print house nearby and sewing in the local supply chain.
