Women's sizes: Pinup and Ibiza

Pinup and Ibiza come up small: go one size up from your usual clothing size. If you wear a 44, choose a 46. Stick to your usual size only if you want a very snug fit.

Ibiza has more coverage at the back and gives more support and tummy control; the sizing rule is the same. Maui, New York, Bondi and Malibu are true to size: go one up if you prefer less compression.

Men's sizes: H2otto, Ucla and Alaska

H2otto: clothing size 46 is an L, 48 is an XL, and so on. Ucla and Alaska are true to your clothing size.

All have a drawstring waist: if you don't like a tight suit, take one size up so it's comfortable around the thighs too.

Training swimwear

Pinup, Ibiza, Maui, H2otto and Ucla are made of PBT, 100% polyester; Milano and the BONESWIMMER x Vira capsule (New York, Alaska, Bondi, Malibu) of 51% recycled polyester and 49% PBT. There is no elastane in the yarn: the suit resists chlorine and keeps its shape and colour for a long time, even with daily use. The exact composition of each piece is on its product page, under ‘Materials and care’.

To do their job they have to fit like a second skin: it's normal to struggle getting them on. In the water everything settles and the suit feels comfortable and stays put.

Beach and leisure swimwear

Alte, Dega, Milano, the Santorini, Tahiti, Big Sur, Hawaii and Papeete bikinis, the Samoa swim shorts and the kids' beach swimwear contain some elastane: they are easier to put on and comfortable out of the water too, all day long. Choose your usual clothing size: over time the fabric adapts to your body.

These pieces are sensitive to chlorine: always rinse them straight after the pool.

Care, for all swimwear

Rinse in plenty of cold water after every use (chlorine, salt water, sun cream) and leave to air-dry, away from heat and direct sun. That way lining, seams and colours stay like new.

BONESWIMMER signature. The logo was born at the pool to bring some identity to the lanes. Made in Italy as a method, not a label: a short supply chain, close checks and real attention to fit.

(Bergamo): 100% polyester with PBT yarn, 180 g/m², white and sublimation-printed at a print house near our atelier. 4-way stretch, excellent coverage, chlorine resistant, UV protection; OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and bluesign certified. No elastane: a close, stable fit in the water.

Pinup or Ibiza: which training one-piece swimsuit?

Pinup has the X-cross back, the Boneswimmer signature since 2004: it frees the shoulders and keeps the suit in place in the pool. Ibiza has a more covered back and gives more support and tummy control. Both are in Speed Line, 100% PBT polyester.

Are training one-piece swimsuits chlorine-resistant?

Yes. Speed Line is elastane-free PBT: it resists chlorine and keeps its shape and colour for a long time. New York, from the BONESWIMMER x Vira capsule, is in an Italian technical fabric of 51% recycled polyester and 49% PBT, also with no elastic component.

Which size should I take?

They fit very close, like a second skin. Take your usual clothing size for a snug fit, one up if you want less compression: if you wear a 44, choose Pinup or Ibiza 46. They can be a struggle to get on at first, which is normal: in the water everything settles.
