Women's sizes

Keep in mind: a clothing size 44 matches size 44 or 46 in the Pinup, so if you wear a 44 → Pinup 46. Only go for 44 if you want a very snug fit.

The Ibiza has a more closed back, so it gives more support and holds the tummy in better. Same sizing rule: if you wear a 44 → Ibiza 46.

Men's sizes

Keep in mind: a clothing size 46 matches size L in the H2otto, so if you wear a 48 → H2otto XL, and so on.

The Ucla follows your clothing size. Both models have a waist drawstring: if you don't like a tight suit, go one size up for comfort around the thighs too.

Training swimsuits

BONESWIMMER training swimsuits Pinup, Ibiza, Maui, H2Otto and UCLA are made of PBT (100% polyester); Milano and the BONESWIMMER x Vira capsule (Bondi, Malibu, New York) of 51% recycled polyester and 49% PBT. In both cases there is no elastic component at all in the yarn. That makes them ready for the hardest sessions and intensive, everyday use. The exact composition of each piece is on its product page, under ‘Materials and care’.

To perform, they have to fit like a second skin. Buy your usual clothing size for a very snug fit, or one size up if you don't want it too tight.

Which means it is perfectly normal to struggle getting them on: once in the water, where everything settles, you have a suit that performs and feels comfortable.

Chlorine can't touch them, but to keep lining and seams in perfect shape, rinse the suit in plenty of cold water after use and let it air dry.

Leisure and beach swimsuits

BONESWIMMER swimsuits in these collections contain a share of elastane, so they are easier to put on and comfortable out of the water too. You can wear them all day, not just for training.

For the right fit, buy your usual clothing size. Over time the suit adapts to your shape thanks to the stretch in the fibre.

Chlorine does damage these fabrics: to make your suit last, rinse it in plenty of cold water after EVERY use and let it air dry.

A women's one-piece swimsuit for the beach and downtime, model Milano. Made for the sea, the resort and the poolside, and just as comfortable out of the water.

Milano model. Two thin straps joined at the back, an open back and a clean line. A one-piece for anyone who wants a sporty look, comfort and freedom of movement.

BONESWIMMER beach line. This BONESWIMMER line puts comfort, easy wear and life out of the water first, unlike our training models, which are built mainly for the lane.

Light pink. A softer shade that lightens the model without blurring its lines.

The BONESWIMMER signature. Athletic Couture born in the pool and taken to the beach: clean lines, a graphic identity and Made in Italy construction.

Fit. Regular, comfortable fit. For beach and leisure swimwear, you usually take the same Italian size you wear in clothing.

What is the difference between training and leisure swimsuits?

Training swimsuits (Pinup, Ibiza, Maui, Milano) have no elastic fibre in the yarn: they resist chlorine and daily use in the pool, and fit very tight. Leisure and beach swimsuits contain elastane: they are easier to put on and comfortable all day, but sensitive to chlorine.

How do I choose my size?

For training models take your usual clothing size for a snug fit, or one size up for less compression. For beach models choose the size you normally wear. FR, UK and US size conversions are in the Size guide.

How do I wash my swimsuit?

Rinse it in plenty of cold water after every use and let it dry in the air, in the shade. No washing machine, tumble dryer or fabric softener.

Can I exchange or return my swimsuit?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, including sale and Last Chance items. The only exception is personalised items (Custom Edition).
